Building Pathways to a New Future: LifeCraft x Miki Island x Aeqlia

At Miki Island and Aeqlia, we’ve always believed that learning can be transformative – especially when it’s immersive, human-centered, and grounded in real-world impact. But every now and then, we meet partners who remind us why we started this journey in the first place.

LifeCraft is one of them.

When Saleem & Jerome, co-founders of Lifecraft, shared their vision of walking alongside individuals rebuilding their lives after prison, we saw something powerful – not a polished pitch or a business plan, but a mission that was raw, real, and deeply needed. At Aeqlia and Miki Island, we didn’t hesitate. We said yes. Yes to the mission. Yes to the people. Yes to the possibility.

Today, we’re proud to announce that Aeqlia, Miki Island and LifeCraft have signed an MOU to take our collaboration to the next level.

Why This Matters

LifeCraft is a social enterprise doing the difficult and important work of supporting individuals in breaking the cycle of reoffending. They do this through coaching, mentoring, job-readiness training, and building meaningful employment pathways.

At Aeqlia, our purpose has always been to help people grow together, faster. Miki Island is one of the signature business simulation of aeqlia designed to unlock human potential through teamwork, resilience, and collaboration.

Together, we’re proving that these tools aren’t just for corporates – they can be powerful for people who’ve been written off by society.

What We’re Doing Together

🔹 Using Miki Island to Build Confidence and Team Skills
We’ve already ran Miki Island with LifeCraft’s learners, and the results have been deeply moving. Participants are not just learning – they’re reflecting, challenging themselves, and growing together.

🔹 Co-Creating Two New Simulation-Based Learning Journeys
Aeqlia is now co-developing with Lifecraft two bespoke programs designed for LifeCraft’s unique audience. These simulations will focus on practical, job-ready skills while keeping the same immersive, gamified approach that makes learning both safe and powerful.

🔹 Exploring New Frontiers in Gamification for Social Impact
Beyond what’s already in motion, we’re dreaming bigger. Together, we’re exploring how game-based learning can change lives – how failure in a safe space can teach resilience, how structured play can unlock confidence, and how reflection can spark long-term change.

Why We Said Yes

Because believing in people before the world sees the “results” is part of what leadership is about. We saw the fire in the LifeCraft team – and we wanted to be part of that journey.

At Aeqlia, we don’t just deliver learning. We build ecosystems. And LifeCraft has become part of the village we’re committed to growing – a village that includes facilitators, learners, corporate partners, social enterprises, and changemakers from all walks of life.

We’re incredibly proud of what’s to come. And to Saleem, Jerome, the LifeCraft team, and every learner who steps into this journey with courage: thank you for trusting us with your story.

Let’s keep building the village – one simulation at a time.
