In today’s fast-paced and competitive business world, organizations recognize that high-performing teams are key to driving success and fostering innovation. Sipchem, a leading player in the petrochemical industry, sought to elevate its leadership capabilities with an Executive Education Seminar focused on building high-performing teams. To meet this need, we introduced the Miki Island simulation—an engaging and interactive experience designed to promote collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking among team members.

The Challenge

Sipchem’s leaders faced a challenge in aligning around the principles of effective teamwork. Many leaders were familiar with traditional management methods and needed new strategies to foster collaboration and enhance team dynamics. The primary objective was to create a safe, stimulating environment where leaders could learn how to leverage each other’s strengths, improve communication, and drive collective performance. How We Helped

We facilitated the seminar by integrating the Miki Island simulation into the curriculum. The simulation immerses participants in a fictional environment where they must collaborate to overcome challenges and achieve shared objectives. Leaders engaged in a series of interactive exercises, from problem-solving and decision-making to role allocation, all reflecting real-life team dynamics. Throughout the simulation, expert facilitators guided participants, offering insights and frameworks for effective teamwork.
